
Paramedic
The
objective of the paramedic training program is to train
Emergency Medical Technicians as Georgia Certified Paramedics.
The course is based on the U.S. Department of Transportation
(DOT) guidelines for Paramedic Course curriculum. The
program is divided into four 15-week modules (540 lecture/lab
hours) and (480 clinical hours). A Paramedic student must
be a Certified EMT (Basic) prior to being accepted
for Paramedic training.
Program Length:
Paramedic students can attend regardless of what shift
they work so job interruption will not be a factor. Each
student will receive two 4 1/2 hour classes and complete
8 hours of clinicals per week. The classes are conveniently
held from 6:15 P.M. to 10:45 P.M. at our campus located
at 2108 Cobb Parkway, Smyrna, GA. 30080.
Tuition assistance
is available, The program is a Georgia approved program that allows its graduates to apply for and take the National Registry exam. It is not a National Registry program. Students have the option to register and take part of their National Registry Paramedic exam at the Medix School following their training.
